The fog pattern becomes more pronounced: clear mornings, foggy afternoons and evenings. Visibility before 10 AM is usually good. By afternoon, the marine layer frequently pushes through the Golden Gate, reducing visibility to 1–3 miles or less. Some days stay clear all day; others are foggy from dawn to dusk.
